Gerhard Satran is the proprietor and head chef of Stiftsschmiede and has been part of KÜCHENKULT from the absolute beginning in 2015.

The host of Stiftsschmiede on Lake Ossiach, Gerhard Satran, is not only one of THE fish specialists in Austria, he was also one of the main initiators behind the KÜCHENKULT idea. Satran has always focused on having the best regional ingredients, especially local fish, in his exceptional kitchen, which he skillfully “forges” into creative delicacies.

In spite of the prestigious awards that are frequently bestowed upon Satran and his Stiftsschmiede, the atmosphere in this fish restaurant is casual and invites you to linger. The ambiance of the restaurant is thoroughly imbued with the welcoming nature, humor, and passion of the host.
